Hi, my name is Brooklyn. My husband, Trevor and I have been together for almost seven years. We have grown a lot throughout the many challenges we’ve faced. Loving each other through each of our personal storms has made us a stronger couple rooted in our faith and love for God. We recently decided to create a dynamic platform that strives to help people build stronger, Christ-centered relationships with others and with God. Each of our blogs, podcasts, and books share a glimpse into our relationship with each other as well as our relationship with God.

Today is the day - launch day for ServantsChoice!

Since ServantsChoice is such a new platform, let’s get into a few things no one knows about it.

By reading this post you will learn all about the founders, inspiration, and overall content and purpose of ServantsChoice.

#1 Who Are the Founders of ServantsChoice?

Brooklyn and Trevor are 25 year old newlyweds… But wait, before you start off by judging ServantsChoice solely based on the age and supposed experience of its founders, let me share a little bit about them and their story.

Brooklyn and Trevor met and fell in love with each other in their senior year of high school. They had two classes together, but it wasn’t until Brooklyn got into an almost life-threatening car accident that they actually began to notice one another. Brooklyn was completely uninjured, but no longer had a car to get her to her after-school job. She then had to spend the last hour of the school day volunteering as an office aide. With Trevor having this as one of his extra classes, a strong sense of friendship and attraction between them began to grow.

Once graduated from high school, they remained together throughout the four demanding years they spent earning their college degrees. Then, after an eight month engagement period, they were married! A day after the wedding, they left on a week-long honeymoon where their days were full of love and excitement. However, as soon as they returned from this trip, they received the news that Brooklyn’s mom had cancer. By the time it was found, it was stage-four and terminal. Over the course of their two and a half year marriage, they met many struggles that in some cases would lead to the destruction of one’s marriage. Thank God this wasn’t the case for Brooklyn and Trevor. Through their love and resilience, they have come out on the other side of many challenges stronger and more in love than they were before encountering those obstacles.

#2 How ServantsChoice Was Inspired

Due to the most recent challenge faced by this young couple - the devastating loss of Brooklyn’s mom, they have been forced to take a step back and examine not only the relationship of their marriage, but also each of the connections they share with those outside of their marriage. As they focused more on the different qualities their many relationships held, it became clear to them which qualities were key to maintaining healthy, fulfilling, and committed connections with the people in their lives.

This realization encouraged them to stop relying on their own understanding and start listening to God and following Jesus’ example of faith, service, and love regarding relationships. Once this became their main focus, everything began to make sense. They acknowledged a new passion growing inside themselves. During a deep, late-night conversation, they both vivdly expressed to each other their desires to combine their individual passions and create a platform that would glorify God AND help others navigate and improve their everyday relationships.

#3 What Even Is ServantsChoice

ServantsChoice is a platform consisting of blogs, podcasts, social media, a community forum, and other engaging resources dedicated to helping others place God at the center of all their meaningful relationships. Every aspect of our lives revolves around the quality of the relationships we share with those around us. Whether we're talking about romantic relationships, friendships, or different family dynamics, it's imperative that we learn healthy ways to improve each.

Brooklyn and Trevor are diligently working behind the scenes to put out new content in addition to authoring books, guides, bible studies, and more that will further serve you and the connections you care most about. Although it is exciting to use their knowledge and experiences to help others, their one true focus and purpose is serving God and sharing Jesus with all who are willing to hear.
