Behind the Scenes of S|C

As many of you know, Trevor and I have been working on something that is very special and exciting to us. Now that we are quickly approaching the launch date of 27 November 2023, I thought it’d be fun to give you a little “behind the scenes” look at what we’ve been pouring ourselves into.

My mom passed away 3 months ago. Throughout her 2 year battle with cancer, and especially the couple months leading up to her death, Trevor and I were slapped right in the face with the fact that our relationships matter. Our relationship with ourselves, each other, our families, our church family, our friends, and even with strangers. Most importantly, though, our relationship with God. So, we decided to create “ServantsChoice”

So far, Trevor and I have:

- Prayed… long and hard about this opportunity.

- Researched. We were trying to decide whether or not I should go back to work after being let go. The whole time I was applying to jobs, the pull to pour myself into ServantsChoice got stronger. Until…

- Purchased the website for ServantsChoice (p.s. We truly did not have the money in our budget to do this. We knew the price and kept trying to put it off. Then Trevor gave us the idea to count the money we had in our jar of coins…. yall…. exactly TO-THE-DOLLAR the amount we needed. God basically said, “No more excuses.” )

- Built the website (still finalizing some details)

- Created each of our social media platforms

- Created some initial content plans (blogs, podcasts, ebooks, freebies, courses, ect.)

- Set up our prayer room and podcasting area

- Purchased our podcasting equipment (again… God.)

- Practiced our filming setup and flow

- and now here we are

We aim to be transparent throughout this process and give credit where it’s actually due. We are bright, focused, self-driven people, but we could not accomplish any of this without God - and none of this would be worth doing if not for Jesus.

We are excited to officially begin fulfilling what I believe is not only our passion, but also our purpose.
